I want to memorialize all the highlights from books I read on my Kindle. Any of you smart cookies know how? I.E Create a Commonplace Book

I'm used to reading books the old fashioned way, keeping a pen and journal nearby to catalog the incredible words and sentences we all stumble across from time to time. Is there a nifty way to do this way Kindle?

I use the Day One app to record my thoughts, and it would be great if there was some automated way to move my highlights to Day One. Day One has an IFTTT integration which is incredibly helpful (e.g. all posts I save on Reddit get sent to Day One).

Has anyone encountered something that could help with this? For example, if I every time I highlight something it automatically sends me an email, IFTTT could also move that to Day One.

It would be awesome if this also worked for books not in my Amazon library, like documents I just upload to my Kindle...

I also have some rudimentary python skills, in case that helps.
