I’ve got an (awesome!) idea for a women’s swimsuit design and have started to do some sketching and brainstorming on how it would work. I’ve spent a good amount of time coming up with about 15 patterns that I think would work well on this design, and really think I’ve got the fledgling makings of something cool! The only issue is that I don’t have very good sewing skills, and don’t know how where to begin looking for a place to make a prototype. I’d like to protect my ideas and not be too risky in trusting my idea to someone who will just run me over. I also don’t have much money, but I have great credit and could probably qualify for a loan. Do I need a business plan and to start something from the direction? Or should I find someone (how does one even do that?) to help me make a few prototypes first and see if it even works the way Im picturing it? Not sure where to take it from here!
